I am a Registered Psychologist practicing in Edmonton, Alberta and have been providing counselling services since 2012. After many years working for the Government of Alberta and volunteering with people involved in critical incidents, I discovered that my passion lay within helping people realize their true potential. I specialize in working with adults in individual sessions, and also enjoy working with adolescents and couples. I work with individuals and couples from all different backgrounds, cultures, religions, spiritual beliefs, and sexual orientations.
I follow a client-centred approach and view you as being the expert in your life. Together we can form a partnership where I aim to help you find your strengths and can offer insight and tools that you may not have had before embarking on your therapeutic journey.
I was born and raised in Edmonton, and love spending time in and around Edmonton. Spending time in the river valley with my dog, Jesse, is the highlight of each day.
I have long worked with therapy animals in clinical practice. I find that having an animal around can offer a supportive element to the experience of therapy, that sometimes a therapist can’t. Currently, I have two rescue cats that frequent the therapy office (on their own terms, of course) and one therapy dog-in-training. Also, many existing clients bring their dogs to sessions or we will go on nature-based therapeutic walks with their dogs. If you are interested in knowing if your canine friend can come to therapy with you, please inquire upon booking!
